Summertime
04:06
|
|||
There are not many conversations I could vividly remember /
but I guess the interest in odd things has brought us together /
I habitually find it a bit controversial, being a hugger /
but I tend to mellow out, when on a bender /
Good morning, I like the taste of your tongue /
was gonna set up a base camp, to endure this stormy weather /
but among many other things, I lack patience and vigour /
same as abuse of power never comes out of the blue /
I’m sure at some point I’d be crawling back to you /
Summertime oh summertime, I’m the stone-cold king /
sadly still not ready at all, for what adulthood brings /
My chest is pumped, the chin is up, hysterical outcome /
I come undone, come undone, for peaking far too young /
I lost my head, caught in undertow /
So I watch you from below, the thing is /
I’d like to have you much closer /
hope our lives will never be over /
I’m a professional moaner /
But in fact, things have never been so swell /
this summer has been a drag /
So every day I smoke a pack /
Just out of boredom, cut me some slack /
I like the taste of your tongue /
Summertime, Summertime /
we are meant to break the paradigm /
Summertime, Summertime /
We’re burdened with a weight of a ton /

Real Men
03:30
|
|||
I’ve always felt that real men are not afraid of eyeliner /
and I’d always choose the Gilmore Girls over the Ghost Rider /
I’ve got leg over leg, taking a drag on a fag /
orchestrating ways how I can get my baby back /
Oh hold on dear, we both know I ain’t no super hero /
Hell, I cannot even bribe you with that stupid pink flamingo /
You said no to a dance, I’m leaving like a hurt antelope /
Enjoy the movements of a person without hope /
I’ll take a nap and think it through /
Deliberately overdue /
You know I would wait fo you /
Another day, of tightening the screw /
I take my time to decide, whether to pick Struggle or Swing Kids /
and if it’s even worth it, to let the light come in through my eyelids /
I’m sure that Sundays were made, to watch us burn at the stake /
The like’s of you and me, we just tend to exaggerate /
We’re both no givers but robbers, often catch each other red-handed /
Notoriously known for taking everything for granted /
Wish I had a clue, what we’ve gotten in to /
Still the best I can think of is a large pizza for two /
I’ll take a nap and think it through /
Deliberately overdue /
You know I would wait fo you /
Another day, of tightening the screw /
I’ve got leg over leg, taking a drag on a fag /
sometimes you gotta leave, without ever looking back /
I’ll take a nap and think it through /
Deliberately overdue /
This path is tailored for two /
You know I would wait fo you /
Another day of tightening the screw /

Lack Lustre Rush Bristol, UK
Lack Lustre Rush is a love letter to all the rock & roll greats and underdogs, a salute to its hardcore punk roots, an entity that is willing to (almost cartoonishly) walk the fine line of writing simple pop songs, while doing its best to cover up whether it’s about to hug you or actually kick you in the face. ... more
